The public sector in Sweden creates vast amounts of data every day. Data about our health, welfare and environment. About Swedish competitiveness and economy. About geography, meteorology, forestry and agriculture – and more. By making this data available, citizens and companies can use them – and help solve challenges and social problems.
The Agency for Digital Government´s (DIGG) mission is to facilitate access to public sector data. We also work on open and data-driven innovation and support other actors to create social benefits. We help public actors work together on challenges and be inspired to new solutions.
According to the assignment, DIGG will collect and publish lists about the available Public Sector Information (PSI) from government authorities, encourage state authorities to publish open data according to common guidelines, and also manage and develop the national open data portal oppnadata.se.
